The IT landscape has evolved significantly over the last few years. Not that long ago, on-premise was the primary choice for most enterprise software, but we’re now seeing a fundamental shift in the need to provide scalability, speed and flexibility to ever-increasing consumers through Cloud technology.
At ANS, we’ve been talking about the potential for Cloud for many years, but up until 18 months ago, I was still having meetings with customers who were still apprehensive about instigating the necessary cultural shift among their workforce. There was still a fear of Cloud in the air and organisations were unclear about how to make the leap when the media was still telling us cloud was unaffordable and too much of a risk.
Since then a lot has changed.
In what seems like a blink of an eye, as more and more organisations begin to adopt the cloud, the benefits and potential for scalability, flexibility and speed have overshadowed the negative coverage. We’re now in a place where Public Cloud is transforming the world of work and the structure of business, literally causing organisations to reshape everything they do from how and who they recruit, to the energy and resources they commit to simple operations.
The latest research from the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) reveals that the overall cloud adoption rate in the UK now stands at 88%, with 67% of users expecting to increase their adoption of cloud services over the coming year.
So instead of walking into customer meetings to find organisations asking risk-averse questions around security, compliance and shadow IT, I’m now addressing far more proactive questions such as; ‘how can I integrate Cloud into my IT strategy to help deliver my digital vision? How can I leverage the cloud to stay ahead of my competition? And ‘how can I extract the most value from my public cloud investment?
This is music to my ears because I know how ANS are exactly suited to provide clear answers and solutions.
As Cloud adoption continues to soar, we are now firmly positioned to lead the charge. In the last 6 months, ANS has dominated the cloud market having been awarded the Microsoft Gold Cloud Competency certification and the AWS Advanced Partner status. Combined, these achievements highlight ANS’ ‘best-in-class’ ability and commitment to helping customers migrate and build their next generation of digital business applications in Azure and AWS.
So whether you’re thinking about migrating to the cloud or if you’re already using it but want to find out how you can optimise your environment and become more efficient, speak to us.
In the meantime, why not check out our latest Public Cloud Lightboard Series, hosted by ANS’ CTO, Andy Barrow to find out why Public Cloud is becoming ever more popular and how ANS is helping organisations to design and manage a cost-effective solution to help businesses achieve global reach and access a wealth of new services.
