1. Extravagant Christmas and Summer Parties
At ANS we don’t do things by halves and our seasonal parties are no exception. Every year our employees enjoy a festive soirée where they can dress up to the nines at an amazing location to celebrate Christmas together. But who wants to wait all year for Christmas to come around? We reckon summer is worth celebrating too! Previously we’ve dolled up and had a flutter at Chester Races but this year we decided to shake things up and put on our first ANS Summer Party! The family fun day was jam-packed – from battling it out on the Total Wipe Out course, to some well-earned drinks, a hog roast and a groovy disco!
2. Quarterly All Staff Events
Each quarter we take a much-needed afternoon out of the office to update all employees on the strategy and direction of the business and reflect on the successes of the quarter (there’s always a lot of them!). It’s a great opportunity for everyone to find out more about a department they may not be involved in day to day or to meet the most recent new starters. The meeting is followed by a free bar and some great food so it’s a win-win!
3. Champagne Friday’s!
Every second Friday of the month we down tools early and enjoy a cheeky drink in the office to kick start the weekend. Our employees can grab a glass of bubbly or a beer and some nibbles after a busy week.
4. Employee Share Scheme
A couple of years ago, we launched a company-wide incentive scheme to ensure that our employees benefit when the business succeeds. We alocated a number of shares to all employees on a share subscription basis. The harder we work as a team, the more successful the business is, and in turn the more money everyone will receive when the business is valued.
5. Flexible Working
We’re all leading busier lives and sometimes finding the right work-life balance means working from home at times. Our employees appreciate this freedom and for us, measuring output is far more important than counting how many people are sat at a desk between 9-5:30pm.

We are never shy of treats around the office. We give all employees Easter eggs at Easter and even post them to remote workers and consultants so no one misses out. At Christmas, it’s not uncommon to find the team following a trail of clues around the office to locate a bag of chocolate coins. And if that isn’t enough to feed a chocolate addiction, we’ve also been known to do the odd Crunchie Friday! Not a chocolate fan? Don’t worry – our senior management team are always on hand to do an ice cream run in summer! And if all those treats weren’t enough, this summer we have been showing the World Cup games around the office and even threw our own World Cup party with burgers and booze!

8. Birthday’s Off
Nothing says happy birthday like a day off! At ANS, our employees can take their birthday off as an extra day’s holiday so that they can celebrate in style. Whether it’s getting away for a long weekend, throwing a big party or just having that well-deserved lie-in, the day belongs to them.
9. Employee Recognition
Every quarter we hand out awards to top-performing employees along with amazing prizes to say thank you for their hard work. We also have a ‘Cool Wall’ in the office where employees can write thanks to their colleagues for helping them to resolve an issue or just generally being awesome! Our Sales Team also have the chance to enjoy a trip of a lifetime to Dubai if they meet or exceed their annual sales target.
We provide a Healthcare Cash Plan through Medicash. We take some of the pressure off our employees’ medical bills by contributing to dental care, eye care, hospital stays, therapies and much more.
11. Volunteering Days
We are part of, not separate to, society and believe that working towards social improvement provides a myriad of benefits to not only society but our employees, customers and the business. There are always opportunities to volunteer for a range of local charities we work closely with. Whether it’s regularly helping at a foodbank, or taking part in bigger, sponsored events such as the Three Peaks Challenge, we are never short of chances to help and support our community.
