2017: RAPID Disruption Awaits

RAPID

Cloud computing is boldly going where no other system has gone before. With so many organisations moving to some type of cloud platform, we are experiencing demand with the need to find more ways to create a true fully automated cloud environment.

At ANS, we believe that for those in enterprise IT, automation should be celebrated as a key technological process. The benefits are compelling – automation improves accountability, efficiency and predictability, while reducing cost, variability and risk.

As a leading Cloud Services Provider, with our expertise and experience we launched RAPID back in July 2015 to a packed audience. RAPID is a highly standardised, highly configurable, policy driven private cloud. It is pre-integrated, validated and tested, delivered anywhere ready for consumption in just 28 days.

Since then, RAPID has evolved. We wanted to ensure that we could provide infrastructure to suit every organisation whether they were looking for performance, flexibility or simplicity. In response to this, this year we launched our most ground-breaking RAPID series, comprising of three system architectures,  FIRE, FLEX and RAIL. Each of the systems is built as a cloud enabled platform utilising API driven Converged or Hyper-converged Infrastructure reference architectures from industry leading vendors.

2016 was the year RAPID took the industry by storm. We’ve delivered seminars and hosted CIO roundtables up and down the country to hundreds of CIOs and IT leaders. The events have given us the opportunity to discover and address industry trends, challenges and concerns. We’ve then captured the discussions and comments and published our responses through thought-provoking whitepapers and blogs which you can read in our resources hub, here.

This year we have also welcomed aboard new RAPID customers, including WH Ireland, ODEON Cinemas and Eurocarparts to name a few. These customer have given us incredible feedback which has set us apart from our competitors.

David Miskell, Group Infrastructure Architect at ODEON Cinemas said:

“RAPID Private Cloud delivers an ‘out of the box’ experience that rivals what we are used to with traditional public cloud vendors. Having ANS manage the infrastructure element allows us to focus our efforts higher up the application stack where our in-house ODEON knowledge delivers most value.”

What’s in store for 2017?

2017 will be the year that hyper-convergence – and software-defined storage and networking – come into their own and ANS will be leading the charge.

As we enter 2017, we are better suited than ever to help our customers as they look to assess their infrastructure architecture and target operating models. With the advent of cloud computing, there are now so many options available to an organisation when considering where to place their applications including Saas, Hosted, Private, Hybrid or Public cloud. As organisations continue to focus on delivering business value IT, we must provide a visionary platform and supporting connectivity which adopts innovative technologies allowing for scale and growth.

As always, we will be hosting numerous RAPID events throughout 2017, so keep an eye open and watch this space!
